Mediation Services

Steve customizes each mediation based on a pre-mediation discussion with each attorney in order to adopt the best approach to resolve the case. Depending on those discussions, a decision will be made whether or not to have a joint session openining, or to have a mediator introduction of the process only, or to have each attorney present a description of the dispute to provide a better understanding for the participants. If considered useful for a resolution, each party will be given an opportunity to fully express his/her side of the conflict.  He will work to clarify understandings of the strengths and weaknesses of each side's case in caucus and to assist the parties to negotiate in a cooperative, problem-solving manner. He will make all efforts necessary to overcome impasses and resolve the dispute, including a more evaluative approach and/or a mediator's proposal if requested by the parties.Throughout the pre-mediation and mediation session, he will act to build a trusting relationship.
